Four writers are invited to a retreat unlike any other — the prize: $10,000. The catch: they must survive the night in the House of Poe and write their most deeply hidden confessions.

Our ensemble brings this

world to life with performances that will force you to look at the grief you have been avoiding. We took Poe's gothic imagination and ran it through a bold, contemporary Black lens, honoring the eerie elegance of his original words while giving them new breath and new rhythm.

The House of Poe invites you into the beautifully unsettling reminder that grief doesn't disappear just because we're ready for it to. It transforms and eventually it demands

to be seen.
